This year, more than ever, I can not wait to get out into the fresh air and shop for local produce. Over the past few months going to the grocery store became one of the scariest tasks to take on for the week! Walking in with a mask, sanitizer at the ready and a grocery list in hand (to be burned immediately after of course) just to race through the store as quickly as possible and arrive home with some disappointing produce choices that were made in hast.
Shopping the market will look a bit different as well of course. Social distancing, shorter shopping trips and everything is "to go". But the ability to be walking the open air market is enough to put a smile on my face. Summer may be getting a late start this year but truly I think we are kicking it off at just the right time.
We have an amazing line up of vendors for our opening day, June 27th, and the weather looks to be absolutely perfect. We still ask that you have that hand sanitizer at the ready and a shopping list to help keep your trip shorter than usual, masks are encouraged and for the safety of everyone we ask that you let our vendors serve you. So here is a map and vendor list to help you be as prepared as possible.
We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow at the Kenosha Public Market's Grand Opening!
